Drip irrigation equipment has advantages such as water saving, electricity saving, fertilizer saving, time and effort saving, and can also provide certain soil structure protection for the soil environment of fruit orchards.
1. Adjust and grasp the water delivery pressure well
The water pressure inside the pipeline affects the operation of the entire drip irrigation equipment, so the water pressure must be adjusted to a reasonable range. Excessive pressure may not only cause hose rupture, but also lead to uneven water output. Excessive pressure may directly cause the drip head to not discharge water and also affect irrigation uniformity. It is recommended to install a water pressure gauge in the drip irrigation equipment for monitoring and control. If there is no pressure gauge, the water flow sound and bulging degree on the PE hose and drip irrigation tape can be observed. Based on the normal daily situation, it is not appropriate to judge whether the sound or bulging is too large or too small.
2. Adjust the irrigation water amount based on the condition of the fruit trees
The irrigation water volume of drip irrigation equipment depends on the current growth cycle of fruit trees, as the water requirements of fruit trees vary at different growth stages. In addition, weather conditions should also be taken into consideration. Each acre of land can be irrigated with 10 cubic meters of water per time, for 2-3 hours each time. The amount of drip irrigation for fruit trees should be appropriately reduced during the flowering period, increased during the vigorous growth period and young fruit enlargement period, and increased during the drought period. Irrigation should be stopped during the fruit ripening period, as excessive water can affect the taste and quality of the fruit, and even lead to cracking. The selection of drip irrigation equipment for the control of irrigation water quantity is to monitor the flow meter. If not, it should be calculated based on the irrigation time and the design of the main pipeline tassel.
